Abbeyfield_houseWhat is Abbeyfield?  Abbeyfield is a registered charity which builds non-profit housing for seniors. An Abbeyfield House provides a much needed housing choice for seniors who no longer wish to live in their own home and yet do not need the services of a home for the aged or a nursing home. Abbeyfield: a viable option for those who want independence without the stress of home ownership.

Our teams of volunteers and professional staff offer practical support and companionship to residents within the comfort of their own community. Residents enjoy an assisted independent lifestyle free from the hassles of running a household & the concerns of dealing with loneliness.

  • The Abbeyfield House in High River offers a warm, family-style home and a balance between privacy and companionship, security and independence, combined with the special caring element provided by dedicated volunteers and the consistency of a House Manager and Alternate Manager.
  • Age and loneliness are the prime considerations for residency, together with a level of desire to share in a family-style atmosphere.
  • Each House creates a sense of belonging that is truly preventative medicine. With a history of five decades, Abbeyfield International experience indicates that most Abbeyfield residents gain a new lease on life. They stay more fit and are more likely to live out their natural life cycles without becoming debilitated.AbbeyfieldHouse-2700
